Lalit Mengi is inquisitive and passionate, but also disciplined. An engineer by profession, but a poet by passion. He spent his childhood, and then his career in civil service, traversing the diverse and beautiful physical and cultural landscape of the northern Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir. The years spent as such became fodder for his curious and reflective mind leading to his first literary endeavour, Musings of the Mind. His writing not only invites the reader to a deeper reflection on the everyday life, but also inspires one to explore, and awaken one’s own dormant creativity and passion.
